I have tested this one too on the vista laptop and it is doing good - I
don't have the MIDI in to test it but it has all the latest features
from git bar the very last commit (fixing the extend-selection with
shift-right click on mouse which was broken).

Are you able to try for a configure option to use guile-2.x ? It seems
some distro's have stopped supporting guile-1.8 (as you probably know
Debian stable doesn't yet support guile-2.x). We can do this as Denemo
1.2 immediately after releasing 1.0 if it is not trivial.
