Re: [Denemo-devel] insert chord symbols?

I was able to place "edit chord" on the button bar, which is a good start.
For making keyboard shortcuts I'll have to study the manual some more, but it's a relief to know this is possible :-)

About the chord names; now I understand why in the manual they refer to the Lilypond docs for this, because entering Bbmaj7 wouldn't work - it needs Lilypond syntax bes2:maj7 indeed (more to study).

For getting rid of the "score: arranger" I had already tried emptying the text-box, but it still remains in the button bar and in Lilypond view.

In File there's no templates.
I do see open - open recent - open example.
When I choose open example, and then in the choice window I go up a directory to Denemo, I do see a folder with 6 templates in there.

Testing?? You mean 8.22 is an alfa or beta release?
Oops - had I known, I would have chosen a stable release.

Thanks for your help,
Ludo

yes, you create a keyboard shortcut and save it in your personal set of
keyboard shortcuts. You right click the command and then choose Edit
Shortcuts...
and in that dialog click either the One or Two key shortcut button and
then press the key you want to use. Then save as Default command set.

This means what you typed in the box is not good syntax for LilyPond,
and so LilyPond failed to generate the pdf.
I am not expert on the syntax for that stuff. Jeremiah knows more, it
is, I believe in the LilyPond manual. I just put the single letter c in
there and get a C major chord symbol. Beyond that I don't know the
syntax...

hmm, it is doing it for me. Workaround - choose Score->Titles
etc->Arranger and blank out the text

there should be
Open Template
Open Custom Template
Open Default Template

in the File menu. I put Ctrl-n as shortcut to Open Default Template
(having saved my favorite template under the name Default).

Thank you for the testing :)
