source code lag

Hello,

I am having a problem with ddd: when I recompile the code and re-start it 
in the debugger sometimes (a lot!) the debugger does not show the updated 
source code file, or it is clearly executing the old binary (and showing 
the new source code) or it just sticks completely to the old version. I 
used to think that this was NFS lag, but now I have all files local and it 
still does this.
I always kill the program in the debugger before recompiling.
Can you help me?
