ddd-3.3.9-test2 build feedback

I've built ddd-3.3.9-test2 on

        sparc-sun-solaris2.8                 with Forte 6u2
        mips-sgi-irix6.5.22m  (N32 ABI)      with SGI C++ 7.3.1.3m
        i386-*-linux-gnu      (Red Hat ES 3) with GCC 3.2.3

All platforms built right out of the box, and very precursory testing
seems to indicate that ddd works as expected.

As an aside, are some of the fixes that Arnaud et. al. have incorporated
related to optimization?  The test releases of 3.3.9 seem a *lot* snappier
than any prior version of ddd I can remember, even back to the 1.3 days.

I'll also continue to pursue information from the folks at HP about what
I might do to get the Compaq C++ compiler to not choke on ddd on Tru64.
Hopefully I'll have something useful to report next week.
