I confirm that the text was absolutely intentional.

The GNU project does not like the term 'Open Source'
when used to describe Free Software:
http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-software-for-freedom.html

I can try to think about a "softer" term, but the
substance remains the same.

I do not say that commercial pages are "bad" (?). I
say that if you are looking for Free Software
downloads, the terms "free" and "software" can trigger
matches about sites talking about "free software" in a
very different context and meaning.
