I reported a spelling mistake ("jedermann" instead of "Jedermann" at the first webpage) every month since September last year to "address@hidden" but nothing changed. Am I doing wrong?
No, only there was none who would have bothered/spared the time to fix it. Some years ago I used to be annoyed about the German docs, on the verge of joining translation work. By now, I have no problem with using the English docs (all the more since code and mailing lists and special terms are English anyway), so I have better use for my time than to translate docs.
I don't want to offend somebody, however, what do I have to do to fix the mistake?
Please read <http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.19/Documentation/contributor/translating-the-documentation>, that should be a reasonable introduction.
Best, Simon
