I have this problem too, and thus have not yet gotten my diskless
station to boot.

Right, it is after grub has already successfully boot strapped the
kernel.

| First, there are two errors. [-: The kernel can't reach the
| portmapper (to get the port of nfsd) and even on the default port it
| had no luck.
|
| Is the portmapper running? What are /etc/hosts.* saying? Maybe

My question is what should the setup be? I have the various howtos (3
of them from linuxdoc.org, have also read some other diskless
workstation docs) but can't figure out what the problem is. I even
completely opened up iptables, but still get the error above. I think
I've also seen error code 111 sometimes.
