There was a discussion about this many many years ago. I remember that Gary
had some reasoning for keeping it as it is, but I can't remember what it was.
Gary? do you remember this?

I can search through the archive, as it may be before the mailing list was
archived online.

A reason for changeing it is that it will then appear equal to all other
common backgammon software.
