I'm not familiar with sdiff, how often are you using these keys? Would it be better to use a pair where both can be reached with one hand, say '1' and '4'/'5'? (I can reach 'l' and 'r' with one hand with minimal stretching and w/o using my thumb on a US keyboard... '1' and '9' I have to use my thumb and it's uncomfortable :-).)
