Nah, we're ALL human and realize that things don't happen overnight.
Just lay out a plan and be honest.  Telling an author, "The tools don't
exist to do what we ultimately WANT to do, but for now your article will
be put here..." actually does give a sense of place.

I know this because I actually submitted an article a couple days ago.
I heard nothing back.  (Yes, I understand completely that it's probably
in some queue someplace.)  Just hearing the words, "Okay, we got it.
Stand by," would mean so much.

Let me emphasize:  Who CARES if the tools are alpha.  Just gimme what
you got so far, and be _honest_ about how things are going, and I'll
cope.  (As a mere author, do I have any other choice?  *grin*)
