This sounds like a good idea to me (but I'm only a Bibledit observer at the moment -- not an actual user). But like any such list of course, they should be user editable. (Then a branch or similar can supply their own customized list.)

Hi Pooyan,

I am not sure if I understand it correctly. When speaking about
scripture references, do you refer to the list of references that is
generated upon doing a search?

I'm not sure what Pooyan wanted, but the question makes me think it would
*possibly* be nice if it were possible to have a "include standard
cross references" capability. On the other hand I'm not sure how much time
it would take to use, let alone implement.

For some editions, where cross references are just a list at the end of the
verse, it'd be relatively easy to use, but personally I don't like that
layout. For more readable editions, where cross references are done with
footnote marks, then the user would need to find the right place in the
translation to insert the mark. That suggests that there be an interface
which shows the cross reference list for the current verse, with their
content, and allows some sort of drag and drop to put in the
cross-reference. - perhaps a little like the key terms in reverse?

THis sounds like quite a lot of work for Teus and co, so before I put it
onto the feature request what do people think?
Is there anyone who wants to be able to use the same cross references as
another publication?

David
