While it would be nice to correlate, it's difficult enough to get WinAVR 
together due to correlating all the various packages it contains. As to 
bug reports, they are specific to the version of the tool, not the 
WinAVR package itself. And tool versions can always be easily checked. I 
understand about not wanting to be on the cutting edge... I don't have a 
particular solution for you, well, that's easy anyway.
