Why did you choose explicitly THIS device.

Anybody using the MSP430Fxx from TI?
I ordered two samples yesterday . And after exact 26 hours
they are here on my desk (UPS express, delivery before 9:00am).
Compare the prices...
OK, as far as I can see, they have no external data/adressbus
but does the mega8 have one?
And there is a gcc for MSP also :)
