The idea is very good, of course, but you are touching something which
is planed for the full Autoconf, not just this bit.
I would like to suggest, instead, that you install two new macros
named AC_REPLACE_FUNC_MEMCMP and AC_CHECK_FUNC_MEMCMP. Neither take
arguments (that's for later). But don't touch AC_FUNC_MEMCMP please.
