I installed all these files with yum.
But I don't know how to compile SWFTools.

Where can I find information about this?

In the FAQ:
   http://wiki.swftools.org/index.php/FAQ

This looks quit simple!

I loaded swftools-0.9.0.tar.gz and unpacked it.

But when I run ./configure I get an error:

--------------------------------
checking build system type... Invalid configuration 'i686-pc-linux-': machine 'i686-pc-linux' not recognized
configure: error: /bin/sh ./config.sub i686-pc-linux- failed
--------------------------------

I don't know what this means, but I think that i686... should be something like i386...

Can somebody explain what's going wrong and how to fix it?

Maybe it's important:
I'm running ASPLinux 12 (RedHat Linux) in a virtual machine under Parallels Desktop on an Intel-Mac.
