Perhaps you guessed it: BDB is installed from Debian (4.8 is in stable,
5.1 and 5.3 in sid.)
sks itself was compiled from the yminsky source (hg).

However, my former installation of sks (it was something like 1.0.9, I
think) also worked on a Debian BDB installation (old 4.x). So I do not
think that's the matter.

My ext3 (ext4) blocksize is 4096.

The stale futex stuff sounds scary. I will have a look when I have some
more time again...
