The "id" works fine as follows:

# id ksoonson
uid=20010(ksoonson) gid=20010(ksoonson) 
groups=20010(ksoonson),10004(nastest),10005(baikal-prime),10011(xfssnap)

And the ftp file in /etc/pam.d/proftpd is exactly the same as before.

Yes, I think the ldap stuff should causing this problem
but don't know how to cope with it.
Could you please let me know how to check if the new LDAP points
to the original machine or any other possible clue for LDAP?
