Our configuration
management has been CVS running on RedHat with WinCVS clients and an Excel
Spreadsheet bug tracker. I was going to roll my own version of a web based
bug tracker using PHP and MySQL but was turned on to SF buy my former boss now
customer. I downloaded the tar package for RedHat but that's about as far
as I got with project deadlines during the day and a family that expects me to
be at home in the evenings with them away from the computer...:-)...
Anyway... My former client/boss recognized my predicament and thought it would
be a great job for couple of students. He has a relationship with Fort
Hays State and as of Friday I have a server running debian-sf courtesy of the
fine work of Roland Mass and Christian Bayle and a couple of fine undergraduate
Physics students(I'd give their names but I don't have time to call them and ask
permission). Thanks!
User
Permission:
I was trying to
import a module into the CVS repository created for a project I created on my
instance of debianSF but I'm getting ye olde ""add" requires write access to the
repository" message. I thought that the project admin would be able to
grant permissions to user to do this but I don't see anything in the Project
Admin area that will allow me to do this. I have a feeling it's a
combination of how I'm accessing the repository(currently using "passwd" file on
the cvs server authentication) and granting the appropriate privileges... Any
help? Standby for a totally different question...
