In main menu->Programs->System->Service Configuration 
there is a list of all daemons running,check wu-ftp as
I know that is ftp-provider in rh7.3,

any way don't lose your bandwith and those delicious
CDs(nd more :) ) if needed I can lend you a Harddisk
for transfer,
