Hi,

I was looking for any one who has compiled the hole kernel( itself, and modules > 2.4.18-3) with RedHat Linux. I tried both gcc 2.96 and 3.2 on 2.4.18-14, 2.4.19, 2.4.20, 2.5.69 but in all cases making modules fail to finish. Linux kernels in RedHat has been built with gcc 3.2 (dmsg | head).
This seems to be a serious problem but I searched the hole web and didn't find even a line of tip about it.
Any idea?

I have also compiled kernel 2.4.18 with gcc 2.95 and glibc 2.3 with no
problem at all. However, I guess 2.4.18-3 was used in RedHat 7.3 (Am I
right?) and that distro came with gcc 2.96 which according to some
people was buggy.
