第一条，copyrightable。就是可以具备版权/著作权的。有些作品在一些国家可能不具备版权，例如数学公式，分子式等
第二条，has a clear preferred form for modification。由于 GNU 的许可证都要保证作品具有可修改的属性，那么很重要的一点就是定义什么是修改，修改的是什么。对于软件来说，用户可以直接修改编译后的文件，即用机器码编写的二进制可执行文件，也可以修改源代码。但是显然GNU所讲的是用户具备修改源代码的权利。所谓的preferred form for modification ，在软件这个例子上，就是指源代码。因为大家都prefer 源代码这个 form 来做 modification。对于其他类型的作品，都需要有明确的 preferred form for modification 才可以使用 GNU 的许可证。比如对于电路设计，就要提供设计图，布线图，以及可能的相关电子文件。对于音乐，就要提供乐谱甚至可编辑的数字文件。不知道这么解释是不是清楚？
