        Europe</em> (FSF Europa). La FSF Europa fue lanzada el 10 de marzo de
        2001 y trabaja en todos los aspectos relacionados con el Software Libre
        en Europa y especialmente el <a 
href="documents/gnuproject.html">Proyecto GNU</a>. FSF Europa apoya
        activamente el desarrollo del Software Libre y el progreso de
        sistemas basados en GNU, como por ejemplo GNU/Linux. Es también un
        centro de información competente para políticos, abogados y
        periodistas, para garantizar el futuro legal, político y social del
        Software Libre.

        30 de octubre de 2001, la <a href="http://www.fsf.org/";>FSF</a> y la <a 
href="http://www.fsfeurope.org/";>FSF Europa</a> participaron en la edição
        de este año de <a href="http://www.cidadetecnologica.org";>Porto Ciudad
        Tecnológica</a>, un evento dedicado al Software Libre en Portugal. La
        edición de este año tuvo lugar el día 12 de octubre, en un mercado
        histórico en la zona río, que ha sido declarada por la Unesco como
