The OCSP privacy issue has been fixed, as well as the superfluous OCSP checking
of the stapled server certificate (see #664).
Btw, Wget2 is using (modern!?) network features that wget doesn't use. And it
has slightly different defaults. And it using multi-threading by default. So
`wget2` will never be 100% backwards compatible. That's why we call it `wget2`
instead of `wget` :smile:
But `Wget2` aims to be as backwards compatible as possible within those
constraints (except for supporting FTP/S, which is not planned). And if you
want to change global defaults, just add your preferences to the system-wide
config `/etc/wget2rc` (exactly: `SYSCONFDIR/wget2rc`).
Any case of incompatibilty due to bugs or missing features (e.g. --progress:dot
is still missing) will be fixed. See also
