@darnir: Drwaing one progress bar for each file being downloaded is, imho, out 
of the question: the default is 5 threads with a queue depth of 30, so up to 
150 files may be inbound at one time!

What about my alternative solution:
still use a single bar for each thread and show the sums of "file size" and 
The main problem I see is that the file names shown would in mist cases not 
reflect anything that's going on currently.

@rockdaboot: I'M working on that. I'm not that familiar with git, so it may 
take some time.
