Hello Karl, Gavin,

Hi platform-testers - we expect the current Texinfo pretest to be
essentially the same as what we'll release as texinfo-6.0 in a few days.
Maybe you could give it a test run on some of your systems?
below are few results from various platforms.

No failures with the following platforms, though many tests were skipped (~200).
Perhaps an optional yet important package was missing.
centos 6.5, 7.0
debian 7.6
gNewSense 3.1
Ubuntu 14.04, 15.04
Trisquel 6.0.1, 7
Hurd 0.6/Debian/i386
The following failed with the tarball but succeeded with the latest SVN (r6267)
fixing the 'program_name' issue:
FreeBSD 10.1
DilOS 1.3.7 (Illumos kernel with Debian userspace)
OpenIndiana 151a8 (Illumus/OpenSolaris-like)
On Fedora 20, 21 - 1 test failed: t/index-apropos.sh
FAIL: t/index-apropos.sh

In both cases, adding '#include <sys/select.h>' to 'info/pseudotty.c' solves
the issue.
For reference, the linux man page for select(2) mentions this:
/* According to POSIX.1-2001 */
#include <sys/select.h>
/* According to earlier standards */
#include <sys/time.h>
#include <sys/types.h>
#include <unistd.h>

On NetBSD 6.1.4, it seems 'dir-dangling-entry.sh' is stuck.

And pressing CTRL-C shows:
