I would be surprised if i7 would lose on any ABM workload, just because 
of memory bandwidth and also perhaps also because of improvements to the 
branch predictor.   If you had a single threaded workload with a set of  
frequently-interacting agents that happened to fit in the larger Core 
Duo second level cache, but otherwise would constantly spill out of the 
Nehalem L2, then maybe the Core Duo would win.
