It sounds like you are trying to run your application from Windows
instead of from within Cygwin.

You must be in the Cygwin terminal window to execute your program. So,
in the terminal window, do "cd f:/Coalsim". Then type "./coal.exe" to
execute the model.

Also: If you installed Swarm version 2.1.1, it includes the Cygwin
terminal. You do not need to separately install Cygwin - and if you do,
you will probably have problems. (But in later versions of Swarm, you
*do* install Cygwin.)
