Hello Otto, first, thanks a lot for making available your configs. I'm a 
relative beginner in Emacs, but I supose I may paste your code inside my 
.emacs file to apply all of your customizations, right?

But before I do that, please clarify a thing. You said you use Voxin as 
your synth; I use it too. Have you been able to successfully create 
customized voices and assign them to the speechd-voices variable? I 
tried to do that by first changing voice parameters using commands like 
c-e d r, c-e d V, etc., and then using the command c-e c-a to 
automatically assign my customized voice to speechd-voices, but it 
didn't work. Milan confirmed to me that there is a bug where, in his 
words, speechd-voices content doesn’t match its customization 
specification. Have you already studied Emacs Lisp to write it all manually?
