I didn't succeed, I get this error:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/cicero", line 20, in <module>
    s = main.SpeechServ(app_brltty_es.AppFeed)
  File "/usr/share/cicero/main.py", line 38, in __init__
    self.sndoutput = sndoutput.SndOutput(self.samplingRate)
  File "/usr/share/cicero/sndoutput.py", line 58, in __init__
    self._open()
  File "/usr/share/cicero/sndoutput.py", line 133, in _open
    raise BaseException('Sound device is busy')
BaseException: Sound device is busy

although nobody else uses /dev/dsp.

Anyway, if I understand well, from an user standpoint
cicero is just an alternative way to use one mbrola voice,
using OSS (which is deprecated).

I think I will just leave it alone.

The simplest way would be to use a configure
option:
with-cicero=no
but this option does not exist.

Samuel, could you please add it?

Best,

Didier
