Follow-up Comment #3, task #12060 (project administration):

Hi again,

I understand your point of view. However, Savannah is a place for development
of Free Software not Open Source and we are keen behind this requirement. This
rule was not made to discriminate certain projects; it would rather seem funny
that we at Savannah, which belongs to GNU, which belongs to the FSF would
suddenly accept Open Source projects, thus leaving a good portion of our
philosophy behind. The reason why I am discussing with you is not of technical
problems but of ethical problems: That is that Open Source cuts all
philosophy, which the FSF and we at Savannah find important for a nice
society.
Therefore, maybe there are better places to deploy your project, e.g.
Sourceforge promotes Open Source. I do not want to appear as an evil dictator
though, so I'm giving you room to discuss things further.

I'm also adding xenu and mjflick to the CC list, since I'm rather new as a
reviewer. Maybe you guys have something else important to say on this issue?

Best regards.
