  I do not have any code to show yet because the project is beginning now.
Its goal is to create cartoons for children. The project is made of three
parts : Creation, animation  of pictures and a player to see the animation.
The langage chosen for the software is Java because it must be able to run on
several kinds of plateforms (such as Linux, Windows, Mac OS...). The pictures
will be in vector graphics. The format chosen is SVG. We will use the
Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) format for pictures (xml.apache.org/batik). 
The first part will enable to create drawings with various predefined
components (circles, triangles, rectangles...). Theses prefefined would be
field in various colors. In order to assemble those forms to create objets.
The second part will consist in animating of those forms : movements,
apparitions , disparitions and resizing... Elements will overlap in order to
create settings and scenes.
Eventually, the third part of the project will enable to view the final work
animated like a cartoon.
These project is aimed at helping a foundation specialising in creating
graphics for children (www.ar-image.org). It is a non-profit foundation
working for schools in order to araise children's curiosity and creativity.




Other Software Required:

  We use blackdow JVM, Eclispe for IDE and the classes is batik
(http://xml.apache.org/batik) for the manipulation and the generation of svg
pictures.
