------------------ Additional Follow-up Comments ----------------------------
Ok, interesting.

I need to find another way to login a user on differents servers with only
cookie.

In the meantime, avoid clicking on « login on savannah.nongnu.org too ».
Normally, it should be ok.

Summary: login bounces from savannah.gnu.org to savanna.nongnu.org

Original Submission: using either Mozilla (4.2a) or IE (5.2.2) on MacOS X
10.2.1, when I log in using the SSL login page of savannah.gnu.org (without
checking the log-also-onto-nongnu.org radio button), the browser is redirected
to the (non-SSL) login page of savannah.nongnu.org. If I log also onto that,
the browser is directed back to the login page of savannah.gnu.org and so on
and so on and so on.
The only way I can log in is to go back to savannah.gnu.org when the login page
of savannah.nongnu.org shows up.

sorry for the delay. The problem is neither the browser nor the OS (did the
same with a Mozilla on a linux box), but the password. I'm afraid your login
system doesn't cope with some punctuation chars in the pwd... moreover I've
found out that, during the login switch from savannah.gnu.org to
savannah.nongnu.org (and vice-versa, I guess), the password is shown in the
URL, and saved in the history ;)

I anwered by mail to this bug report.

Please, retry with Mozilla or Netscape 6. This is behavior is completely weird
and I'm unable to reproduce it with mozilla, konqueror and links.
Since mozilla is currently the browser that understand the most properly
standards, we can guess that if mozilla isnt affected by such a problem, it's
probably not a savannah problem.

Maybe it can be related to your OS (normally login page do some test).

Can you test with one of the browser listed previously?
