Yes, the developers of viewcvs should be aware of this bug,
since somebody reported it on July 22nd

in Savannah, to see if that brings more attention to that bug.

Original Submission:  Trying to display the src directory gives a python 
exception.  This URL shows it:

fixed in a newer release.
