that was a rather weak statement actually - in fact, i _know_ that is possible
- that is how every distro gets source code for packaging - if that ever
changed, most distributors would complain loudly to the maintainers, asking
them to provide some other way to access the source code - if they did not
comply, i would not be surprised if most dropped that software - the packaging
tooling is not equipped for that; because the notion is quite preposterous
