Well, because changing:

--include /tmp/lotsoffiles \
--exclude /
localhost::/ localhost::/tmp/lotsoffiles-backup

to

localhost::/tmp/lotsoffiles localhost::/tmp/lotsoffiles-backup

fixes it for me. Thus, I am curious if some other file is being included
besides the stuff in /tmp/lotsoffiles.
