This is my little backup
script so far... rdiff-backup /home/frazelle09/Documents /home/frazelle09/Network/JALALFRAZELLE/200Gig/HomeBackups however it compresses the new files, so i tried --no-compression, like so... rdiff-backup --no-compression /home/frazelle09/Documents /home/frazelle09/Network/JALALFRAZELLE/200Gig/HomeBackups but then the script tries to run and reports a large number of errors. (1) i understood that this command could be used one, for example, then not used, and then used again, etc. and wouldn't break anything. Am i missing something here? As a second question, i have saved the script in a text file and named it backup.sh and set it as executable, but it doesn't seem to run when i try to click on it. It runs o.k. when i use a Terminal and sudo. Ug. What do i need to do here? Thank you for your help and have a great afternoon! :) p.d. i was trying to use Keep, 0.4, but sometimes it would work and then later seemed to report the same errors as in (1) above. |
