Apart from the way Matt suggested, it is also possible to specify the
port (or any other ssh related option) on the command line.
You have to use the rdiff-backup option "--remote-schema=..." for that.
For example, if you want to connect to port 2222 (instead of 22) you
would use something like:
rdiff-backup --remote-schema='ssh -C %s -p 2222 rdiff-backup --server'
address@hidden::/$SOURCEDIR $DESTINATIONDIR
This is documented in the rdiff-backup manual page (section "REMOTE
OPERATION") - one should add more examples there...
