[Ranger-users] parse progress bar status

this is my first mail, hello all!
i'm pretty new to ranger but it's awesome, thanks to the devs!
so, i often copy large files and switch between my workspaces. it would
be great to put the progress bar status of ranger into my window manager
status bar (on all workspaces). i could not figure out how to do
this, found no way to get the status via command line. 
is there a way? or would this maybe be a improvment for a future
version?
