thanks a lot for your reply.
Well, I realized that a new version of FreeDOS (1.3) is available
for download.
Yet I have to be a bit careful as far as downloads are concerned
(I have 5 GB highspeed download available per 28 days).
Plus: I already have the 1.2 version installed.
The thing is: network connection used to work quite a while ago.
And even now:
QEMU network detected
DHCP request sent, attempt 1: Offer received, Acknowledged

IPADDR = 10.0.2.15
NETMASK = 255.255.255.0
GATEWAY = 10.0.2.2
NAMESERVER = 10.0.2.3
LEASE_TIME = 86400 seconds
seems to indicate that it should work.
My guess is that something has changed with a
newer version of qemu and therefore my command line for starting
it
should be different. But here I´m at a loss... 🙁
