I think it's not yet implemented.  Unless you're wanting to have remote users at
unknown IP's send email through your server via regular email programs smtp 
auth is
a waste of cpu cycles.  If it is just for phpgw, then you can limit relay by IP,
the default is "the local subnet" so you should have no problems spliting them 
up.
