Yep - they're all fine. 

I've written a one liner php script to check and on the only RedHat 7.1
box with the new php(-imap)-4.0.6-9.7.1 rpm: imap_open fails. There's no
firewalling issue either (double-checked by telnetting to the imap port
and logging in).

So it's not a phpgroupware problem anyway,
