Hi Jason,

I have tryied messanger 4.6 and it works ok, however it has no video
capabilities, and in messanger 4.7 the one for XP you can only use microsoft
exchange or net passport, you cannot assign and alternate ip address for a
sip server.

My other issue is that I would like the users to have a list of currently
connected users like in MIRC, and the user does not need to add contact, of
whom he must know the username.

Hi Wil,

    I think the Messenger can meet your requirement.
    It supports IM, audio and video communication.

    BTW, messenger also support "Subscribe" method to acheive the presence
machanism.
    You can add some people to your contact list.
    You may see the user within a period of time after he logins (register
to the proxy server).
