Yes, only SPI1 is implemented on LPC.
SPI0 works in a really different way (speaking about he configuration) and is not efficient at all (no hardware buffer). So it is a lot of work to get it work.
Also, SPI0 is not easily accessible on a twog anyway...

    <define name="MAX7456_SPI_DEVICE" value="spi0" />
    <define name="USE_SPI_SLAVE0" value="1" />
    <define name="OSD_SPI_SLAVE_NUMBER" value="SPI_SLAVE0" />

Any ideas about what might cause those errors?
