I don't know, you need to compare a standard Tiny and a "filtered" one in the same environment.

Let us know the results :)

Do you think these would be effective on the tiny boards?

Hi Daniel,

1206 and 0805 doesn't mean values but...sizes !
0805 = 80 x 50mil (20.3 x 1.27mm)
1206 = 120 x 60mil (3.05 x 1.52mm)

So the components you need are :
capacitors value = 1pf, tolerance = 10% (or less), max voltage = 100V (or more), size 0805
inductors (coils) value = 6.8nH, tolerance = 20% (or less), size 1206

Nice filter (ugly module soldering :) but probably useless with such a small GPS antenna ground plane...

SO i have been looking at this website trying to figure out how to make a filter for the gps so it will reject outside frequencies but have been unable to figure out what a 1206 coil is specifically.. I think it is a inductor but i thought those were measured in Henry's.. Here is the website http://www.webx.dk/rc/video-wireless/filtergps.htm . The filter i am looking to make is the:

Homemade low-pass filter for GPS and block for 2.4GHz

using 1206 coils (20% tolerance) and cheap 0805 1pF (10%) 100V capacitors.

Maybe someone who knows what this guy is talking about can explain it better. I would really appreciate this.. Sorry for the dumb question
