Follow-up Comment #1, bug #57664 (project octave): FWIW, I had a small debug session using dev Octave with dir.m and found that the command dir ('\\nsa310\photo') (where 'photo' is a directory on our NAS) fails a lot earlier, on L. 101, where __wglob__ (directory) returns empty.
