Thanks, John for that info.
Please, disregard my previous comments on cygwin. That was a different bug I
happened to read shortly before.

If I correctly understand the gnulib sources, fseeko should be deferring to
_fseeki64 on mingw. That looks good to me.

@emmanuelbrandt: Just to make sure: You do have read access on the large file,
do you?
