Follow-up Comment #12, bug #57529 (project octave):

I had to upgrade to Fedora 31 on the weekend. I had also a segfault when
calling geometryimages. But it did segfault when calling figure(). Also
segfaults when i did call figure() in a ./run-octave shell. I completed the
make by changing the graphicstoolkit to fltk. After installation and reboot i
wasn't able to reproduce any segfaults at all (since two days now).

Don't know if this info causes more confusion ...
