Sorry for the delay. Unfortunately, the test suite can't easily tell
whether a failure of the mtn server is due to restricted net access.
Running the network tests over a Unix-domain socket is on the todo
list, but isn't going to happen soon.

Can you suggest a shell command (ideally one that doesn't require
additions to the build-depends ;-) that will detect restricted net
access?  With that, I could suppress all of the problem tests when
necessary.
