Andrew,

Try hitting your server in the port you configured on httpd as follows:

http://yourserver.net:2812/_status?format=xml

You'll get an XML format that you can parse for your application.

Hi,

I have tried connecting to 28080, using telnet, and I get "Connection refused"

As for an API, I presume that at any point in time monit holds the current state of those things it is monitoring.  What I want is to be able to query monit for that information.  Maybe also add my own custom collectors.

Hi

What do you mean API, monit is set to listen on port 28080 on default. This shows all the statuses for all things you are monitoring. Pretty much the same as "monit status"

Thanks
George

Hi,

Is there an API to extract the current status information from monit ?

Thanks,
