Hi,

Here is a file on my disk that explain how to access one of the
development CVS repositories:

- Fabrice

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Access to the CVS repository for mldonkey development:

cvs -d :pserver:address@hidden:/home/lachesis/mldonkey/cvs_repository login

(Logging in to address@hidden)
CVS password: ml2002donkey

cvs -d :pserver:address@hidden:/home/lachesis/mldonkey/cvs_repository co
devel/mldonkey

The repository contains all the files needed for mldonkey, including
source files for the eDonkey protocol, which should not be propagated
to other people. Note that the lattest release requires ocaml-3.05,
and that the patch is not required anymore (but can be applied to get
ocamlopt.opt).

The repository is copied from time to time (when the snapshot becomes
more stable) to savannah. It is also backup-ed to optic disks every night.

As we become more and more developpers, commit to the repository
should be done more carefully. Before commiting, you MUST be sure that
everything compiles correctly. Otherwise, keep your modifications
until they are stable enough. Don't forget that CVS cannot resolve
conflicts if you have re-indented the code of a function. So do it
only when necessary !

Remember that you should also have an account on Savannah. When you
have it, I will move you to the developpers team of mldonkey, so that
you can access the project home. In particular, you will be allowed to
access the developpers mailing-list, that should be used in the future
for communication between us (well, I'm a bit alone on it).
